Red Nose Day

Are you promoting Red Nose Day at your United Way?

Red Nose Day is a day dedicated to raising funds and awareness of children and young people living in poverty, while having fun. It will be held on May 21st and will be promoted on NBC in a three-hour special with comedians, musicians, and celebrities.

United Way is one of 12 charity partners that will receive funds raised from Red Nose Day, to help lift children and young people out of poverty.

Orange County United Way (Irvine, CA) is promoting Red Nose Day on their Web site and encouraging their donors and community members to participate by wearing their red nose, donating, or spreading the word on social media.

United Way of Greater Knoxville (Knoxville, TN) and United Way of the Chattahoochee Valley (Columbus, GA) are promoting Red Nose Day and children living in poverty on Twitter:

What I like about Red Nose Day is that they are promoting a specific issue, while engaging people in a fun way and inviting people to donate. It’s a great way to raise awareness of United Way and engage people with the issues you address locally. Consider promoting Red Nose Day on social media and tie it back to how your United Way is helping children and young people living in poverty in your community.
