New Directions Board and Staff Retreat
The world is changing for nonprofits. The internet makes researching and giving to any charity easier than ever, traditional fundraising, like workplace campaigns, are stalling, and the younger generation isn’t interested in what United Way is selling. If your United Way wants to be here in 20 years, you need to change direction.
That’s where Perspectives’ New Directions Board and Staff Retreat comes in. In this half- or full-day retreat, Perspectives will guide your board and staff through in-depth discussions about your challenges, the need for change, and if an issue focus direction is right for your United Way.
During the retreat your United Way board and staff will:
Examine the challenges your United Way is facing and decide if change is needed to solve them
Discuss why donors support your United Way currently and what your United Way will need to do to be relevant to donors in the future
Learn about the Issue Focus Model, how it works, and how your United Way could use the Issue Focus Model to make measurable change in your community
Have an honest and open conversation about the direction your United Way will need to take to be successful in the future
