Live United from Birth

In this day and age, competition among nonprofits is increasing and United Ways are finding it much tougher to engage young people.

United Way in Waukesha County (Waukesha, Wisconsin) wants to make an effort to connect with young people in their community and in their words said “What better way to start than from birth!” Their United Way entered SVA’s 40 Days of Giving contest and they are asking people to vote to help their United Way win a chance to outfit every newborn in their community in a Live United onesie.

United Way in Waukesha County is promoting their entry on Facebook and Twitter.

This is a great way to connect with young people in two ways: to interact and engage with them on social media by encouraging them to vote for your United Way in a contest, and to spread the word about who you are and what you do. Whether or not they win the contest, United Way in Waukesha County has won by spreading the word about what they are focused on accomplishing in the community.
