Get Fresh at the 2013 United Way Midwinter Institute!
Come join me next week at the 2013 United Way Midwinter Institute, at the sunny hotspot of the Great Lakes region, Madison, Wisconsin! I’ll be presenting a session called Keeping It Fresh After 125 Years on Wednesday morning. There is very creative description of this session on the conference website written by the wonderful event organizers which goes something like this:
125 years of fundraising and community problem solving can make keeping things fresh and donors engaged challenging. In this current competitive marketplace, hear how United Ways are “keeping it fresh” by communicating and engaging effectively with their constituents around their priority issues. Learn new ways to connect and grab our constituents' attention while strengthening their connection to the work of United Way. When Resource Development and Community Impact go on a date with Marketing as a chaperone, magic happens!
Here is my translation:
Things that worked 125 years ago, don’t work now.
Things that worked 10 years ago, don’t work now.
Things that worked last year, don’t work now.
The things that will work tomorrow, you have got to start doing now.
Let’s talk about what you should be doing tomorrow.
If you like what we talk about in our blog posts, you’ll love this session. I guarantee it will be the most provocative session at the 2013 United Way Midwinter Institute because we will talk about the things no one else is talking about!
Sign-up and join me for Keeping It Fresh After 125 Years next Wednesday, February 27th from 8:30 to 11:15 a.m. at the 2013 United Way Midwinter Institute.
I’ll look forward to seeing you there!
