2015 United Way Western Regional Conference
Gary and I will be attending the 2015 United Way Western Regional Conference in Henderson, Nevada in two weeks. We are looking forward to meeting with United Ways on the West Coast and hope to see you there!
We will be presenting three breakout sessions on a variety of topics at the conference:
Effectively Communicating United Way's Work Through Social Media on Wednesday, August 5th at 11 a.m., presented by Kasey
During this session, we will discuss what donors and community members want to know and how you can use social media to effectively communicate your message. We will discuss the appropriate role of social media and share examples of United Ways that are communicating effectively.
Three Essentials for Effective Community Impact: Focus, Strategies, & Measurement on Thursday, August 6th at 9:45 a.m., presented by Gary and Kasey
After years of working with United Ways on adopting and implementing community impact, we have identified the three essentials for effective community impact: focus, strategies, and measurement. During this session, we will look at each of the three essentials and talk about how you can make your community impact more effective by tuning-up your work in each of the three essentials.
Become a Donor-Centric United Way of the Future on Thursday, August 6th at 11 a.m., presented by Gary
Many, many years ago, workplace campaigns were easier than they are now. Every day brings a new challenge to the workplace campaign, making it important to start becoming donor-centric now. During this session, we will discuss why focusing on individual donors in a donor-centric way is essential.
